Canadian Mounted Police Romance at it's finest!

When Lenora Perry’s dream of becoming an acclaimed singer dies a painful death, she attempts to escape her mistakes by fleeing north—directly into the path of an all-too-dashing Mountie.Though the man in scarlet appears eager to be rid of her, his home provides security, and his sister offers friendship—two things Lenora is desperate for after discovering her pregnancy. With the past dogging her footsteps and her future uncertain, dare she consider new dreams?

Upholding the law makes up the fabric of Constable Edmond Bryce’s existence. As his five years of service draw to an end, he must decide whether or not to continue in his father’s footsteps—an increasingly difficult decision now that Miss Perry has infiltrated his life. Though she’s the daughter of a parson and a close friend to his sister, Edmond can’t push aside the feeling that Lenora hides more than she tells. But duty calls, leaving little time for matters of the heart.

    Where Wild Roses Bloom

Posted by Deanne Patterson on Mar 12th 2022

This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed the book a lot! I don't read many books taking place in Canada and that this one did is a bonus. A young woman, Lenora had high expectations for her life. When these dreams die she feels she must get away from her life so she runs away, escaping north. I could feel the pain and despair as I read this of our main character. The plot is realistic. What they say about " you can run but you can't hide" is true. We have to face our past at some point. Lenora is a strong woman, when her past seems behind her does she dare to allow herself to relax and maybe even fall in love with the man who rescues her? Canadian Mountie, Constable Edmond Bryce is dedicated to serving and protecting but does that include a woman who unexpectedly shows up in his life when his focus is on his job. Can he allow himself to have feelings for her when duty calls? Full of faith, love, forgiveness, understanding, compassion and redemption. I will be reading more of this author. The book just made me feel good! Expected publication: March 15th 2022 I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
